About

The London Curtain Girls was set up by Laragh and Mary in 2010 who met while working in the interior design industry and quickly realised they made a formidable pair, one eye for fabric, one for finish, and a shared obsession with getting curtains exactly right.

Both born in Ireland, it's perhaps no surprise that using linen and especially Irish linen has become such a signature part of what they do. It's a fabric they’ve been using for many years and know inside out. What started as a partnership has grown into a curtain and blinds studio built on years in the industry, working alongside designers and clients to get every detail right, every time.

Laragh and Mary oversee every project personally, from the first conversation about fabric through to the final fitting, working closely with their trusted curtain fitters and to make sure nothing goes out that they wouldn't hang in their own homes. It's a hands-on, personal way of working: small enough that you deal directly with Laragh and Mary throughout, and experienced enough to know exactly what a room needs.

How We Work

Whether you're an interior designer sourcing for a client, or furnishing your own home, we tailor our process to you. From that first conversation through to the finishing touches, we work closely with you at every stage — bringing the same care and craftsmanship to trade projects as we do to private homes.

01
Get in Touch

Once you get in touch, we take the time to understand your requirements and the vision you have for the space you want to transform. Working together, we discuss initial treatments, share inspiration and samples, and explore fabric, colour and styling options to help bring your vision for your home to life — whether you're an interior designer or furnishing your own space.

02
Measure

We arrange a site visit and consultation to measure up and assess your space in person, ensuring every detail is accounted for ahead of design and production. This also gives us the chance to see your space first-hand and talk through practical considerations together.

03
Design

Proposed designs are documented and fully costed within an itemised quotation. Sample fabrics and specifications are shared, along with next steps for handcrafting your soft furnishings and arranging fitting.

04
Make

Our team gets to work on each piece of soft furnishings created for your space. Every curtain, blind and pelmet is handcrafted from our London workshop, with fabrics sourced from mills in Ireland or specified from Designer Brands where required. We bring extensive experience to pieces of every shape and size, never missing a stitch along the way.

05
Install

We work with our trusted team of experienced curtain fitters to ensure every piece is hung and dressed for a professional, polished finish. We coordinate the fitting process with you from start to finish, so you know exactly what to expect and when.

06
Care

We want you to enjoy your soft furnishings for years to come. Whether you need advice on caring for your pieces or have questions further down the line, we're here to help.
